School of Supernatural Life
Inspired by the school at Bethel Church in Redding, California, and similar expressions in this country and a sense of calling from God, the School of Supernatural Life has been piloted in Norfolk since 2015 and is now being made fully available to all.
It is founded on the belief that Jesus demonstrated the normal Christian life and that as we follow him we should experience God’s Kingdom break out wherever we go. We believe every Christian is called to see the sick healed, the spiritually oppressed set free, the lost saved and the broken-hearted whole.
Our aim is to equip followers of Jesus Christ to enrich the kingdom expression of their local church and radically change society through a naturally supernatural lifestyle of signs and wonders.
We seek to achieve this by creating a courageous community where the excellent bible teaching is fully actualised in your life at work or education, in your family, in your community and church.
Teaching will focus on:
- Your identity in Christ
- Your Intimacy with Father
- Your Impact in the world
What can you Expect?
Each session has an emphasis on Spirit lead worship and enjoying God’s presence as well as practical Bible teaching on how to take the Kingdom of God wherever we go. This will be a very safe environment to step over your fears with acts of faith and much opportunity to experiment and take risks.
We celebrate enthusiastically every courageous step one takes and emphasise that success= obedience not necessarily the results of our actions. We also have small groups to enable everyone to question and learn together and to receive and minister to one another.
Each term there will be opportunity to take what we have learnt out into the real world as we work with local churches on their streets and in their communities.
The School Team
Grantley & Floss Watkins have been serving the Kingdom in Norfolk since coming to Norwich as students in the 1970s. They were privileged to be involved in the starting of Norwich Youth for Christ and have been for over 27 years planting churches in market towns as well as overseas. They are wonderfully supported by a great team who are passionate about the Kingdom and the work of the Holy Spirit. All involved are aware that they are all learning as well and there is a strong emphasis on their own vulnerability and challenges as we seek to bring the Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven.
Full curriculum notes will be provided and there is a library available for students so that your learning experience can be as extensive and deep as you desire.
The School Format
The school follows a normal academic pattern starting in September 2017 and ending with graduation in July 2018.
The year starts with a Saturday together but will be followed by Tuesday evening sessions to make the school as accessible as possible. We will also have a termly experience of serving a local church in their mission.
Application and Costings
Please complete the application form and send it to the address given with your deposit of £50 (Cheque made payable to Hope Community Church Wymondham). Similar schools in this country have fees in excess of £300 but we want this expression to be accessible to all and so we keep our fees as low as possible at £180 for the year and you are able to spread such costs over the first half of the course.
We will also require an endorsement of your application from a leader of your church.
(The above could change if you are able to sign up and pay on line. Please advise)
